About Grasshopper

Grasshopper is a multidisciplinary artist focusing on immersive/experiential productions and performances. He combines his knowledge in architecture and theater to provide a wide range of custom curated experiences. Grasshopper has worked on productions in every aspect from inception and design through on-site execution.  He works in both the technical knowledge of fabrication and equipment,  as well as the  installation aesthetics of design.

He creates immersive experiences through art installations, aerial performances, circus acts, acrobatics, and burlesque. With a presence in New York City and Seattle, Grasshopper is dedicated to bringing quality to events both behind the scenes and on stage.

Bio

Grasshopper has been a professional contortionist and aerial artist for over a decade and has collaborated with Hybrid Movement Company since 2014. He was trained at the Lighthouse Academy of performing arts in Binghamton, NY in acrobatics, contemporary, and modern dance through whom he earned multiple National titles. Grasshopper starred in the burlesque revue “Star Boys” at the Crown & Anchor in Provincetown, MA. For four years he co-produced FEMME, a resident queer party at Club Cumming which won a Glad’s “Best Bar Party” award in 2019. In 2020, Grasshopper joined the design team for Somewhere Nowhere, a rooftop nightclub. For his education, Grasshopper attended the City College of New York where he received his bachelor's of science in architecture with a minor in theater production.
